Sustainable Hotel and Tourism Development mission pursues the key objectives of integrated management systems: Sustainability, Education, Values, Innovation and Diversity (SEVID)

Sustainability
Nature, heritage and culture attractions are Tourism’s primary resources. Hence, tourism without sustainability shall leave our future generations without the greatest gift of Natural Wonders. In conjunction hotels shall aim to comply with the criteria of Leadership in Engineering and Environmental Design (LEED).

Education
Education is the most important investment in human resource management. Thus makes environmental continuing education the backbone of Rues’ SHTD priorities: Strategies toward self-development and capacity team building. Implementing Environmental Hotel and Tourism Curriculum at Hotel Schools and Universities.

Values
Without values and history there is no future. “Old school values” combined with traditional, environmental, and modern hotel management, based on dual education systems – practice and theory – with focus on hospitable, friendly and efficient service, from top management down to staff level: “The Guest is King.” Value for money relationship. Awareness toward guest’s wishes and needs. 

Innovation
Innovative green hotel management and eco-marketing strategies that focus on the guest’s expectations and new trends. Continuous quest for development of new opportunities and green market niches and being ahead of the competition, to assure leading market position in the field. In conjunction with the newest Information Technologies for both the guests and management support.

Diversity
Diversity of multi-disciplinary environmental actions inside and outside the hotel on local and regional levels. From integrated environmental oriented management systems to eco-tourism and sustainable tourism development and social responsibility by means of “working together” within all sectors private and public.
