The Sustainable Hotel and Tourism Development (SHTD) team brings leadership to every facet of the hotel, tourism and travel management experience.

SHTD's key objective is to share “environmentally good practices.” By establishing SHTD we share green news with the aim to strengthen  the “Working Together” with professionals in the field to achieve the quintuple bottom line: Educational, social, environmental, economic, and climate. This invitation-only alliance features hospitality, tourism and education professionals whose diverse industry experience forms a symbiosis with their collective commitment to the principles of “Leadership with Sustainability.”

An innovative and seasoned Senior Marketing Executive, Mr. Carpenter looks back to more than 30 years of marketing experience in the Real Estate, Banking and Tourism industry. He holds degrees in business administration, marketing & sales and as a professional translator.

A native of Germany, B. Carpenter relocated to Florida in 1995 and successfully began to build and sell vacation homes in South West Florida to German investors through his holding company AFC, Inc. Due to his sought after expertise in the field of German Investments in Florida Real Estate, Florida and Germany based Tourism Magazines and a German TV Station published his knowledge to broad groups of investors and tourists.

In 1998, Carpenter’s first Florida Web portal – www.e-florida.de – went online. B. Carpenter traveled extensively throughout the Sunshine State, writing about Florida’s destinations and attractions. During his travels in the last ten years - from Pensacola to Key West - he established countless personal relationships to Convention & Visitor Bureaus, Chamber of Commerce, Hotels, and Bed & Breakfasts etc., to promote their particular area respectively their properties on his web site.
