“Sustainable Hotel and Tourism Development” (SHTD) is the newest brand of RUES Hotel Management & Consulting  (RHM&C)  - offering Interim Hotel Consulting Services - and RUES Hotel Selection  EcoFriendly Hotels Worldwide.   

Today’s “global environmental and economic crises” require the integration of problem solving strategies within the hospitality and tourism industry. 

Professional Education based on old school values “European traditional hotel career training” has been Eberhardt Rues’ primary goal, since 1965: By means of implementing “Capacity Training Centers”, at various hotels - while working at top management level positions with American Hotel Chains - in Latin America.  Rues most challenging assignment "once in a livetime experience": The reactivation of the former “El Salvador Sheraton Hotel’ in midst the Guerrilla War in El Salvador,” during 1983 - 1987; Risk Management in El Salvador  serves as orientation of Rues' multi-disciplinary Interim Consulting Services.

Since 1997,  Eberhardt Rues works as "Interim Eco-Hotel and Tourism Consultant" in Florida, Latin America, Africa and Asia. "Education the Center Piece" of RHM&C, shall continue our key goal in the 21st Century. With emphasis on "Integrated EcoHotel Management and Marketing", "Sustainable Tourism Development",  "Risk & Crisis Management" and "Dual Education Systems". 

Rues, works out off his home-office, a "Floridan Green Ranch House"  surrounded by a certified environmental garden and small forest in Citrus Springs, Central Florida, 320 miles North west of Miami.

In 2011 and beyond we shall continue to further enhance our mission: Conservation – Education - Sustainable Tourism Development   with focus on our  five pillars of Sustainable Responsibility:  " Sustainability, Education, Economics, Environment and Marketing". 

We have included  two of our projects proposals - in Spanish - in the  Publications  - "Environmental Learning and Investigation Center" coupled with Eco-Lodges: "Centro de Educación e Investigación Ecológica y EcoLodges (CEIEL)". And excerpts of the guide book: "Eco-Hotel Marketing" "Estrategias de Mercadeo Integrado' para el Beneficio del EcoTurismo y los EcoHoteles".
